The last day we spent time watching the dock dive competition with dogs and then took the gondola to the top of the mountain. The last time I was on the gondola was when John and I came to Vail for a mini-honeymoon the day after we were married and before we headed to Norway the first time. Nine years, almost to the day, I was now back riding the gondola to the top of the mountain with our two beautiful children, thinking about all the things we have done and seen and desperately wishing that John was there with us now. It was a glorious few days in the mountains and I am so glad it worked out for us to be there.
