One of the main reasons I wanted to come to Trondheim in December was for their Julmarked (Christmas Market). It is quintessential Christmas to me. Little wooden stores set up and decorated, filled with crafts, hand-works, foods, and things you cannot find in most stores. There are horse drawn sled rides, warm drinks, and people who are all happy and in a festive spirit. The only thing missing was falling snow, but other than that, it was pretty close to perfection.
