Each Wednesday both kids have uteklasse--which translates to Outdoor class. They literally spend the majority of the day outside; rain, snow or shine. They hike, pack lunches, build campfires and explore all the nature areas surrounding our community. I love that this is the norm and that there is learning happening outside of four walls and the confines of a school desk. Ava wanted to take us on a hike to show us one of the spots she goes with her class. She led us from her school and filled us in on all the things they did along the way. This area is a 5 minute walk from our house, which makes accessing it quite convenient.
