Summer is short and sun is a somewhat infrequent site in Bergen--a lot like Seattle in climate, it is very rainy here so when the sun shines you take advantage of it. One of the best parts of moving to Bergen is having family close by. We haven't had that in all the years we were living in Charlotte and Atlanta and to now have John's sister and his mom, as well as nieces and nephews just a 20-30 minute drive away is a welcome thing. It was so nice to sit out of Svanhild's deck and have coffee and cake with this view as the backdrop, I know this will be the first of many visits, so looking forward to that.
