This year we missed the Norwegian May 17th celebration in Atlanta. Karsten received his own bunad (traditional dress) for his third birthday. Since we didn't take pictures at the festivities we have attended in past years, we had the kids put on their outfits to take some pictures to send to Farmor in Norway. They look absolutely adorable, I could pick them up and put them on the shelf like a pair of little Norwegian dolls.

These are my FAVORITE pictures of Ava & Karsten! They could be Bunad models. (I wish I had saved your dirndl for Ava to wear when she was smaller -- not sure what we did those dresses?) I think you should dress them in their Bunads when it's time for pictures for your Christmas card.
