On January 23.2011 John's father left this world, free from the cancer that had invaded his body. His passing came too soon and for those of us that were left behind we were devasted by this loss--my heart aches for our children who will not continue to see their special Farfar, but there is much joy to be found in knowing that he is watching over us from above. Ava prays for him almost every night and I know he is smiling down on us. John returned to Norway the end of January to be with this family and take part in the celebration of his father's life. We were sad that all four of us couldn't be there for the funeral, but were there in spirit.
We miss you and LOVE you Farfar.
