Saturday we spent the day exploring little towns around Aurland. Undredal is known for its goat cheese-- with 5x as many goats as people living there. We visited the Stave church, dating back to the mid 1100s and the smallest, active church in Norway. We then made our way to Flåm--visited the train museum but promised to wait for Karsten and Pappa to ride the railway. Enjoyed ice cream and seeing the hotel where Amy works and visited another church with cool, original rosemal paintings covering the walls. A fun day, filled with history and beauty of this region. Followed with an evening sampling goat cheese, wine, local beer and reindeer sliders.
