The first full day in Kristiansand we spent at Dyrre Parken, a large zoo. Which had so much to do, we could have spent multiple days here. The grounds were extensive, the habitats were so natural, it was sometimes hard to spot the animals. Everyone had fun and got a good workout, lots of walking. Luckily there were tons of rides and activities mixed in to distract the kids from all the walking. I have never seen a zoo like this--part zoo, part amusement park. The highlight of the day was the ship ride with Kaptain Sabletann. Karsten has high hopes of one days becoming a pirate!
