On Our Way

The kids were amazing on the flight to Bergen. It did work out to fly through the night--obviously it wasn't a full nights' sleep, but they did sleep off and on for the majority of the first leg. It was helpful that everyone had their own seat, a private screen, an iPhone with movies and games, and various snacks and goodies. We landed in Amsterdam with only a 2 hour layover, we stood in the customs and security line for one hour and forty five minutes. I stood there and watched the clock the whole time. As we were loading our bags on the security belt, the screen with our flight info said, doors closing. We ran as fast as we could and somehow caught that flight. No time to breathe, no time to use the potty, no time to realize what exactly was going on. Three hours later we landed in Bergen, Norway--it was a Winter Wonderland and we were thrilled to have arrived safely and in good spirits.

Ava & Karsten look like the "seasoned travelers"! Glad that they did so well on the long trip, and also that you made your connection to Amsterdam! Too much excitement and what a rush!

Love,
Mom/Nana
