Bergen is for the Birds

The lake in the center of town, frozen solid.

Ava was crazy about all the pigeons and had no fear of chasing them down.

Walking around downtown brought back lots of wonderful memories--while I was living in Bergen, each day was spent in the city, attending language class and then exploring Bergen. It is a very walkable, easy town to get around. The architecture is beautiful and certainly the surrounding mountains and nature provide quite a contrast. If it hadn't been so darn cold we could have spent much more time there.

Beautiful winter scenery! Apparently it stays cold enough so the ice on the lake doesn't thaw? Do they go ice fishing there? Glad that you were able to enjoy being in Bergen, in spite of the cold weather.

Love,
