--and able to come up with alternative solutions to a problem. Yesterday Ava found her swimsuit from last season and wanted to put it on and go for a swim. I proceeded to tell her a) it wouldn't fit and b) the pool is not yet open and so we could not go swimming. But she is persistent, and put it on anyway and showed me that because she is a little peanut, the 18month suit still fits! We then went outside and she figured out another option to the pool dilemma. Sam has a fairly large water bowl, and she decided that she would turn that into her swimming pool. Karsten also thought it was hilarious to splash around and soak his clothes. Who knew a dog dish of water could fit a child in it and bring an afternoon of fun!

Not only is Ava persistent...she is very resourceful! See, who needs to spend money on toys, kiddie pools, etc.? I remember putting the plastic baby bath tub out on the patio when you were little, and that made a good baby pool also. Little ones don't need a big pool to splash and have fun.

Mom
