Early Unwrapping

A few days before Ava's birthday, the package from Nana arrived. Ava spotted it on our front door step and begged to open it right there and then. Typically, John is a stickler for not opening anything before your actual day, this includes birthday cards. In this case, given her excitement, he made an exception and the box was opened. This has been a princess filled year for our little girl. Our home is quickly being taken over by all things girly, pink, and princess. Nana and Gamgam sent a cool cd player that has plastic cds that you cannot ruin, similar to the old Fisher Price record player, an art set, Cinderella doll, and cute clothes. Of course Karsten also got a little something to help feed the Elmo craze. Everything was a big hit. For all the wonderful things that Ava received from family and friends, a formal Thank you is in the mail--but for now, thank you so much she is very appreciative and one happy little girl!
