I remember many Easters growing up that my mom put those foamy pink rollers in our hair the night before Easter, the next day my sister and I had big hair. I thought it would be fun for Ava to have curly hair this Easter too. Since we didn't have the foam curlers, I tried cut up pieces of cloth--distracting her with a movie, she sat still for me to twist it up. Sure enough, the next morning she too, had big old southern hair.

It's funny that you would remember that...but those pink spongy curlers worked well, and probably easier than trying to use a curling iron. I wonder if they still make those pink curlers? Ava would probably love to have some...I'll have to check it out.
