We made chocolate cupcakes to celebrate Pappa's return. Both kids dug right into them and couldn't be happier to have chocolatey face, as you can see from Ava's expression. Karsten was happy, but then looked down and realized what a mess he was--causing a not so happy expression. "Oh no, would you look at these hands!"

So it appears that Karsten will be the "fastidious" one, who is very neat and tidy...and Ava, at least at this point, will be the "creative, free spirit", based on her cheesy painting on the glass table! She obviously enjoys "experimenting" and getting her hands into different media! Encourage that artistic side.
