We tried to break our trip down into doable and realistic chunks of time for two small children. The heat was horrendous, the crowds were thick, and the lines long...so we took on the Magic Kingdom in stages. We went for a handful of hours Friday morning, and then returned to the hotel for afternoon naps and to recoup before heading to Epcot that night. We were able to ride a few of the rides: Dumbo, Small World, Ariel's Grotto, and Mickey's Music Show. We also saw a short Celebration Parade and took in a show on the steps of the castle.

That was probably a manageable way to do it, and not totally overwhelm Karsten & Ava. You just have to "tolerate" the crowds and lines -- that part is unavoidable. I love the picture of Ava & John riding on Dumbo -- Dad & Missie rode Dumbo in Disneyland when Missie was 3.
Love,
Mom/Nana
