TWO Years Old

Our little girl is TWO today. My heart is both happy and heavy simultaneously--she is growing and changing at warp speed these days. She is so smart and so funny, talking up a storm, counting to 10, singing and dancing her way through life, being feisty and awfully sweet all in the same ten minutes. She is conscientious--reminding us to buckle up every time we get in the car and say, "amen" whenever we sit down to a meal. She loves her brother and has become a good helper and wonderful big sister. We are LOVING watching her grow and become the person she will be. We are blessed that she is happy and healthy and a whole lot of fun. I wish there were a way to slow this stage of life down, as I know the years will continue to pass even more quickly. Lately, when she hears the bus in the morning she runs to the front door to watch it and informs me, "When Ava's bigger, school bus." I know that all too soon she will be bigger and walking off to that very school bus. For today we will try to enjoy her tantrums, as well as all of wonderful times we have with her and simply be content in this moment.

*BIG Birthday party this afternoon--pictures to be posted soon...

Aw, good reminder. Today was tantrum city in the Stock house...but at the same time, they are so darn cute and hilarious at this age. Every stage brings with it new light and new challenges...and we're blessed to get to partake in them all!
Love you Ava! Happy Birthday Big Girl!
