Our little girl started Pre-Kindergarten on August 9th. It is hard for me to believe-- I feel like she was just a baby and now she is off to school. Luckily for me her birthday misses the cut off of September 1st, so we will have to do a year of private Kindergarten or Montessori next year, before she can go off to our local public school. Phew, that buys me a little more time! I was able to get very few pictures of her on this day. When I tried to take a picture in her classroom, she said to me, "Come on mom...this is so annoying!" Didn't realize our almost four year old was acting like a fourteen year old. Oh dear.

Be glad that Ava is so independent, and enjoys school already. Better than having a child who gets upset and cries when you take them to school. Since she won't start kindergarten till she is 6, it will be a challenge to keep her interested. She will be so advanced by then, probably will be reading too.
