There is a park in Atlanta called Stone Mountain, we have been there before to hike the trails, but never had gone into the "touristy shop and attraction area". One night over Thanksgiving week we went to see the holiday lights. You can ride a gondola to the top of Stone Mountain, which was unfortunately closed by the time we arrived. There are restaurants, shops, a holiday music, millions of lights (the pictures don't do it justice), a locomotive train that rides around the base of the mountain, and a parade culminating with Santa. It was wonderful to walk around and take in the sites, you can't help but get in the spirit of Christmas while there. The kids wrote letters to Santa and loved the Bubble Guy that walked around making huge bubbles, he even pulled Karsten out of the crowd to help him. It helps when you are cute, you get noticed. It was a great night and something that we will make a tradition to ring in the holiday season each year.

The trip to Stone Mountain was so pretty and very "Chritmasy"! Glad that we could do that with your family! I think the children really enjoyed it too.
Love & hugs to all,
Mom/Nana
