My mom sent an ice cream maker for my birthday last year, but we never got around to using it. Unfortunately the one she sent wasn't working properly, so we were able to exchange it and got a new one. This week we tried our hand at making a creamy concoction and were all quite pleased with the results. It is super easy and the possibilities are limitless- it's also nice to be able to make frozen yogurt or sorbets that are lighter and refreshing. On this particular night Karsten had already gone to bed, but you can see that Ava approves of this tasty treat.

Did you really get to exchange the defective one...or did you just get rid of it, and buy a new one? (Cuisinart model?)I am sending you a set of popsicle makers (non-electric, so these should work!) Thought the children would enjoy those -- you can even make pudding pops or fudgesicles with them.
