He WALKS!

We have been waiting for this day for months--with only three days until his sixteenth month birthday, Karsten finally took his first independent steps today! woo hoo. We were all so excited, himself included. It has been funny to watch him, he has been waking holding on to everything for what has seemed like forever. He will cruise with a walker, along furniture, pushing chairs across the kitchen floor, holding onto a finger...but the second he wasn't touching something, he would just sit down. He is very apprehensive and cautious, it will be interesting to see if this attitude continues as he grows older, approaching everything with a bit of caution. For today, he walked--it's all downhill from here, before we know it he will be running.

Hooray for Karsten! I'm sure he was so proud of himself! Before you know it, he will be running all over to keep up with Ava.

I just noticed how Karsten sticks his tongue out when he is concentrating...just like his Mamma!
