Ava is so excited for Halloween this year. I don't know that she fully understands what is supposed to happen; but she has watched a couple of tv shows about it, looks through any magazine that comes with costumes and picks out the ones she likes, and continually asks me "Knock, knock, Mamma-- then say treat and candy!" We'll see if she is willing to say Trick or Treat once confronted with a stranger's door. For now, she has been practicing eating the chocolate she got at a Fall Festival last weekend and couldn't be happier at the prospect of getting more at month's end.

Ava would like to hang out with Margaret and eat candy.... Age difference or not, they have a lot in common..
