Osteig Family Christmas

This was the first time in 32 years that I was not with my family for Christmas. That part was difficult and when we talked on the phone over the past several days, I was sad not to be together. I was more sad that everyone in both CO and Norway would not get the chance to experience just how great Ava was this year. We had a wonderful Christmas at home-- filled with cooking, baking, eating, opening, and lots of down time together. Christmas Eve we went to a beautiful candle light service and Christmas day we spent the evening with our dear friend, Becky and her family. Ava really took to the idea of presents this year and was thrilled with each new package she opened. The girl did not lack for gifts-it looks like the Fisher Price factory took over our living room. And John was equally childlike and happy to find that he had indeed been a good boy this year; discovering a new Iphone that Santa had left for him under the tree. Here are some pictures of all the fun--

This puppy let's me lay on him longer than Sam does.

Wee-hee! Christmas sure is a whole lot of fun!

Thanks, Nana and Papa-I love my animal farm. NEIGH!

Caught! Who put all my new toys in this cabinet?

What else is in this big sock?

A good breakfast provides energy for playing.

This new chair is the perfect size for me.

We were also and missed being with you for Christmas, but it was good to talk on the phone. Looks like Ava had a very Merry Christmas at home! And it's good that you all were able to relax, enjoy being home, and not have to deal with the stress of flying and SNOW several more times in Denver! (It's -5 degrees here today...BRRR!) Much love & hugs to all of you.
