The Napping House

Ava has always loved to read and recently she always wants to read to me. She has become really good at both making up her own storyline, as well as memorizing books we have read and repeating sections back. One of our favorite stories is the Napping House. The other day she was sitting in the office reading out of a parenting book, Healthy Sleep Habits (ironically) and reciting the Napping House story. Very cute. In case it's hard to understand the words go: a snoozing cat, on a dozing dog, on a sleeping child, on a snoring Granny, on a cozy bed, in a napping house, where everyone is sleeping. I think that is a fair amount for a two and half year old to remember.

Ava will probably read early and be a very good reader, with her interest in books. Does Karsten enjoy books also?

I am impressed that Ava is interested in "reading" books that don't have pictures in them either.
She is certainly precocious, at her young age.
