Snow Bunny

We are experiencing weather that is not the norm in Atlanta today...hooray for SNOW! The ground is covered in a lovely white blanket, the roads are merely wet, and it is the perfect day to cozy up at home with a cup of cocoa as the flakes fall outside the window. Ava is very excited to see the snow, unfortunately we don't even have reasonable winter wear for her. She owns light jackets and sneakers--no gloves, or boots, so time outside in such conditions will have to be limited. (This snow suit was a gift from John's brother when Ava was a baby and is a size 6-9 months, a little tight to do much maneuvering.) We went shopping this morning for a few groceries we were in need of for the weekend and everyone was out in full force. Stocking up on bottled water, milk, and bread--just in case they get stuck in the their homes for the next week. I never understood that, why do you want bread and milk in the case of an emergency? What can you make with that, besides french toast? I am much more of the mind to make sure I have the ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies or a good bottle of wine on hand.

I'm sure Ava didn't know what to think of the snow or the cold weather! You probably should get her some mittens and waterproof shoes or rainboots or something, so that she could be outside in this weather. (Or you could improvise, and just put her hands and feet in plastic baggies!)Do you even have a snowshovel at your house, or was there not enough snow to shovel?

Aw, she looks like a porcelan doll in the snow. So pretty.
