Atlanta Botanical Gardens

Last week Nana and Gammel Papa (my mom and dad) came to visit. We had a wonderful time together, although the visit was much too short. They were here for only a long weekend and the days flew by. Ava was a delight to be around-just happy all the time and showing off some of her new tricks- whether it was doing "So Big" or imitating things my dad would do, she had us all laughing continuously. It is hard to be so far away from family...especially with the way babies change and grow so quickly. She is a whole different person every time we see one another. Four months+ between visits is more than half of her life right now. And John's family will have not seen her for nearly 9months, when we go to Norway this summer. From their visit in November when she was only eight weeks old, to an eleven month old little girl will be quite the change! (In the meantime we will try to at least keep up with current pictures here) While my parents were here we just hung out a lot and enjoyed one another's company- one day we did venture out to the city and visited the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. They were beautiful-a lush, large garden right in the heart of the city. Here are some pictures from that day...

Miss Ava was a little more than 60cm and about the size of a daisy
You can see the skyline of the city right behind the trees
