In April friends that I connected with on Face Book came to visit. One of the things that has changed in the ten years since we last lived here is social media. As a result there are more resources and ways to commiserate with people than ever before. This particular group,Americans Living in BGO often offers good advice, ways to find things, how to do things, a place to vent, etc. Last year, while still living in ATL, I posted a question about school, transitioning Ava from K to Grade 2 etc. This woman named, Amy who was from Florida, married to a Norwegian and had a daughter Ava's exact age had good perspective and immediately became a sounding board for me. It has been so nice to have someone who is going through similar experiences and can help in navigating it all.
This particular weekend, while her husband was flying in BGO, she and her daughter Isabella came to stay with us. The girls immediately hit it off, the mommies enjoyed chatting face to face and we all enjoyed a day trip to the local aquarium.
