Well, at least your intentions were good...too bad that your ground is like cement in front of your house. I know you wanted to plant perennials, but pots of annuals are easy to take care of, and "portable", so you could take them to a friend's house to be watered while you're out of town. Have you purchased a sandbox for Ava? She probably would enjoy digging in that as well. Very cute pictures!
