The other day we were on the webcam talking with my mom- I was in a turtleneck sweater and Ava was wearing the outfit pictured in this blog. My mom inquired if it was cold here in Charlotte? I immediately answered "Yes, it is only 50 degrees today!" She had to laugh and wonder what happened to her Colorado girl who was able to frequently contend with -20 degree days during the winters in Gunnison. I must admit, I think your blood thins down here. Now we are like all the other crazies that will be out in a fur coat on a brisk fall day. Let's hope not. But there is something to be said about the seasons changing and needing (or wanting) to curl up with a comfy sweater and a cup of soup.

Effects of the South
