Who knew what to expect with the birth of a baby-the past nine months have been interesting: filled with lots of changes- emotionally, physically, etc. However, the majority of the changes happened to me. John has been a very supportive husband- but didn't know how to relate to the pregnancy. I suppose lots of men probably feel that way. That feeling of uncertainty, lack of connection, worry, and so on all seemed to dissipate the second we heard Ava cry for the first time. John really rose to the occasion in the operating room-and while they finished things up with me, he had time to hold our new baby and really connect with her. I am happy to report that he couldn't be more in LOVE and it appears the feeling is mutual. Ava loves her Pappa- it looks like we will have a wonderful relationship to look forward to.
